A Retreat Space for Artists & Writers
Easton’s Nook is situated in the historic Forest Hill Community in Northern New Jersey. Forest Hill is the site of a number of historic homes including the Sydenham house built in 1712, and of numerous mansions that once served as home to notable artists and leaders of industry.
Easton’s Nook is 2 short blocks from Branch Brook Park. Branch Brook Park, designed in 1867 by Frederick Law Olmsted Sr., the architect of New York City’s Central Park, is a 360 acre, 4 mile oasis of lawns, playing fields, jogging, walking and bike riding paths, and miles of streams, pools and lakes. Tucked away in Northern Newark NJ, Branch Brook Park is home to more than 4,000 cherry trees and to Essex County’s annual Cherry Blossom festival.
Easton’s Nook has 6 light-filled bedrooms. Bedrooms are equipped with writing desks that were designed and hand-crafted by a local artist. The warm and rich décor are comfortable and welcoming. Spacious common areas including a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, dining room, a den, a group work room, and sunroom provide perfect places where you can meet to work out ideas with others or where you can retreat to work alone. And, then, there is the nook. High-speed internet access makes work easy. Easton’s Nook also has an on-site a laundry room.
